I've read about this in books long before, but this issue began surfacing just this morning among my friends. My reaction? I was horrified, I bet everyone would be. But all that I can say is, we shouldn't generalize. Certainly, NOT ALL CHINESE eat babies! Some of the Chinese who saw this news were even shocked. Let's not generalize an entire country just for this. The Chinese who eat them are only from minor provinces like Guangdong and Liaoning. But seriously, the whole idea is terrible.
I don't know if I would call Guangdong a minor province. That area homes Guangzhou, formally known as Canton and is one of the largest metropolitans in the world, and the place where most things that say "made in china" come from. There is a movie made about this called "Dumplings". It's a horrorfilm but focuses on this old practice and why the act of doing such began.

Yeah I've heard about Zhu Yu, and I learned about the hoax which is why I didn't include his picture of him eating a baby, but I actually once read in a History text book that some Chinese do eat babies, due to their One-Child Policy O.o
