Art Post: "The Little Town of Death's Minions"

I actually don't know what I'm doing until I unconsciously finish it. Hahahaha. Inspired by Tim Burton :3

Here we go to work again,
Another body has been found!
Death is busy collecting men,
While we ensure they're safe and sound!

Please ask for permission if ever you wanna use this! :3

My Emilie Autumn Doodles when I get bored in class

When I start nodding in class, thoughts of cupcakes, theatrical spectacles, rats, and violins resurrect me.
I apologize for the crappy drawings, then again, I was drowsy =v= zzzzzzzzz

Hilarious Epitaphs!

An epitaph is a short text honoring a deceased person, strictly speaking that is inscribed on their tombstone or plaque, but also used figuratively. Some are specified by the dead person beforehand, others chosen by those responsible for the burial. Wikipedia

Love dark humor? Here are some of the funniest epitaphs engraved on real tombstones. Have fun reading!

Here lies my wife,
Here lies she;
Hallelujah!
Hallelujee!
In a Leeds graveyard [1861]

"I told you I was sick!"
In a Georgia cemetery

The children of Israel wanted bread
And the Lord sent them manna,
Old clerk Wallace wanted a wife,
And the Devil sent him Anna.

We planted him raw.
He was quick on the trigger,
But slow on the draw.

I was somebody.
Who, is no business
Of yours.

Here lies the body of our Anna
Done to death by a banana
It wasn't the fruit that laid her low
But the skin of the thing that made her go.
Anna Hopewell's grave in Enosburg Falls, Vermont

Sir John Strange.
Here lies an honest man.
And that is Strange.
A lawyer’s tombstone in England

Here lies
Johnny Yeast
Pardon me
For not rising
In Ruidoso, New Mexico

 Here lies Ann Mann,
Who lived an old maid
But died an old Mann
Dec. 8, 1767
In a London, England cemetery

Reader if cash thou art
In want of any
Dig 4 feet deep
And thou wilt find a Penny.

Than he could pay

All dressed up And no place to go.

but nobody believed her.

Born 1903 - Died 1942
Looked up the elevator shaft to see if
the car was on the way down.
It was.

The grave of Ellen Shannon in Girard, Pennsylvania is almost a consumer tip:
Who was fatally burned
March 21, 1870
by the explosion of a lamp
filled with "R.E. Danforth's
Non-Explosive Burning Fluid"

On the grave of Ezekial Aikle in East Dalhousie Cemetery, Nova Scotia:
Here lies Ezekial Aikle
Age 102
The Good Die Young.

A widow wrote this epitaph in a Vermont cemetery:
Sacred to the memory of
my husband John Barnes
who died January 3, 1803
His comely young widow, aged 23, has many
qualifications of a good wife, and yearns to be comforted.

Poem Post: "Peaceful Insanity"

Wrote this on a dreary, stormy night. Auditioned it to join in a workshop, and yes I got in.

Peaceful Insanity
MINXIE

source: Google Images

A flash of a very bright, blinding light
Broke through the gloomy skies with might,
As I pleasantly smiled while awaiting
The deafening roar that follows the lightning.

Oh, such thrilling horrid scream of the sky,
Seeping through the gateways of my soul;
My crushed heart squeezing out its earnest cry;
Black matter devouring me as it crawls.

The darkness of the chaotic eventide
Comforted me with unexplainable pride.
Why the sorrow? Why the pain?
Why is hope always found in vain?

The heavy rain fell down like knives and nails
Its sound slashed through frightened ears,
But it went in perfectly for me,
As I unleashed all the hollowness I keep.

This unpleasant atmosphere scares almost all,
But I find imaginary & comforting claws scratching the walls
A scarier and stronger lightning breaks away,
But the storm never placed my peculiar peace in disarray.

Please credit me, by the way, if you wanna copy all or a part of the poem. Thanks. :3

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, TIM BURTON! ♥

Today's the 55th birthday of my favorite film director, film producer, writer, animator, and artist!

source

He's my inspiration, motivation, redemption, and escape from the harsh realities of life! I've watched almost all of his movies no matter how weird or senseless they could be. I love staring at his art works for hours and hours on end. My parents hate it when I watch some of his movies but I totally don't give a f*ck. His life story and works inspire me and bring out the best in me. My best friend  digs him too! HE'S AWESOOOOOOOOME.

Tim Burton Facts!

He has an interest in clowns, and his films will often include them or make reference to them.

Is a "Bollywood" fan.

Nearly everywhere he goes, he carries a pocket-size sketchbook and a small watercolor kit.

Usually dresses in black, because he doesn't like spending too much time matching colors.

He once said he never remembers his dreams, apart from five recurring dreams, one of them involving the girl he was in love with when he was a teenager and another involving his parents' bedroom.

Ranked #6 on Tropopkin's Top 25 Most Intriguing People [Issue #100].

Johnny Depp is a godfather of his son Billy Ray Burton.

Has his look-alike puppet in the French show "Les guignols de l'info".

He has a phobia of chimpanzees.

His childhood dream was to be in a monster costume wrecking Tokyo but since he couldn't be Godzilla he decided to be an animator.

Many of his films feature townspeople who misunderstand and/ordistrust the lead character.

Frequently features dead or dismembered dogs.

Plot often focuses around a misunderstood outcast.

At the end of Beetle Juice (1988), Beetlejuice metamorphoses into a bizarre creature with a merry-go-round on his head. On the top of this merry-go-round is a smiling skull which became Jack Skellington in The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993). The latter movie had been a pet project of Burton`s since his days as an animator at Disney.

Shares a birthday with Sean Connery.

Several of his films are based on drawings he made as a kid.

He directed a twisted ‘Hansel and Gretel’ for Disney.

Disney refused to release the original ‘Frankenweenie’.

He and his partner Helena Bonham Carter live in separate apartments.

He acted in films like ‘Singles’ and ‘Hoffa’.

He used to make short films in his backyard on Evergreen Street as a pre-teen.

He is an introspective person and was busy with painting, drawing and watching films.

His first big budget film is the Batman.

Tim Burton never really fit in with the crowd. He liked to hang out in his local graveyard.

He actually wrote to Vincent Price telling him he was a big fan and Vincent agreed to be the narrator of Tim Burton's first short. This sparked a relationship similar to the one displayed in Burton's "Ed Wood" between Ed Wood and Bela Lugosi.

He has directed two music videos: "Bones" and "Here With Me", both by American indie rock band The Killers.

Sophie Lancaster

I know this is one day late, but it doesn't matter. I don't wanna miss this chance.

The murder of Sophie Lancaster occurred in the United Kingdom in 2007. The victim, along with her boyfriend, Robert Maltby, was attacked by a number of males in their mid-teens while walking through Stubbylee Park in Bacup, Rossendale, in Lancashire. As a result of her severe head injuries she went into a coma, never regained consciousness, and died thirteen days later. The police said the attack may have been provoked by the couple's wearing gothic fashion and being members of the goth subculture.

Five teenage boys were later arrested and charged with murder. Two of them were convicted of murder and sentenced to life-imprisonment. The other three were convicted and jailed for grievous bodily harm. A memorial fund was established in Sophie's name, and numerous events have paid tribute to her locally, nationally and abroad. Plays, films, art and books have dealt with the issues surrounding the murder.

Sophie Lancaster (born 26 November 1986) was a former pupil at Bacup and Rawtenstall Grammar School, Haslingden High School and a gap year student planning to attend Accrington and Rossendale College to do an English degree. She had been dating Maltby, a 21-year-old art student at Manchester, for three years, and they both had a long-standing attachment to the goth subculture. The couple's family described them as "Goths", and said: "They're both intelligent, sensitive kids. They're not the sort of people to get in trouble, but they have had problems in the past because they stand out."

Lancaster's parents said of her after her death:

"We were proud to know our daughter. She was funny, kind, loving and brave. She was a beautiful girl with a social conscience and values which made her a joy to know. Not being able to see her blossom into her full potential or even to see her smile again is a tragedy beyond words."

Lancaster's mother said:
"The thing that makes me most angry is that it is seen as an isolated incident, maybe the seriousness of what happened to Sophie is isolated, but attacks are far from isolated. Just because you follow a different culture you are targeted; you are seen as easy pickings."

"This was a terrible case which has shocked and outraged all who have heard about it. At least wild animals, when they hunt in packs, have a legitimate reason for so doing, to obtain food. You have none and your behaviour on that night degrades humanity itself."

It may have been years since the murder, but the hate crime serves as a reminder to all of us: let's all stop judging and hating people just because of how they want to look like! :(

Lil Black Bloody Hood

source

Her long flowing cape was in tatters; singed edges of fabric and loose thread danced in the violent winter wind and caressed the fallen animal's fur as it dripped crimson liquid. Wet knife in hand, she panted heavily from the monstrous combat; she shivered in the blizzard and stared down at her defeated enemy. The wolf was in a bloody mess, one stab was not enough to drain it from its inhumane strength, and its limbs had to be purposefully mutilated for them to be completely disabled.

Her basket, the cake, the wine, and the medicine were all scattered in the thick snow. She trembled uncontrollably as she moved around and picked them up, and wondered if the cake was still even edible. Luckily the glass bottles that contained the wine and the medicine had received no cracks and leaks though it fell hard from the basket when she received the first blow from the wolf.

The sharp, numbing wind continued to blow without remorse; the extremely low temperature scratching and biting her skin. She tugged on her hood and cape to shield herself from the cold, and continued on her dreary way to her dying Grandma.

Now THAT was way better than the previous crap I scribbled in this blog's first blog post! So yeah, as promised, welcome to my new blog! Or no, welcome to the same old blog that's now renamed because I'm not isolated anymore!

Yaaaaaaaayy! ♥

ALERT! Blog Name Change!

I once thought I was the only entity with a soul whose nature frolics in the morbid delights of art and life; one whose home is a tropical and widely Christianized nation. Fortunately my twisted journeys proved me otherwise, as I personally encountered compatibility in preferences and lifestyles. Simply put, I consider myself "ISOLATED" no more, and I am filled with blazing glee as I remind myself of such realization.

Thus for this reason, this blog shall be renamed on the morrow; and the dawn of a new beginning awaits..

E-ehmmmm, so yeah, since I became lucky enough to have met Goths and befriended them, I figured it's about time this blog stops screaming ISOLATION already. I've found a new name to replace "Tales of the Isolated Goth Girl" anyway, and I even need not look far and wide. The ignorable mistake DarkLinks.net made for the name of my blog way back January was a lovely idea ;)

Just Some Life Updates

What have I been up to those months?

ONE: April -- I found my Zing ♥
Well yeah.. Haha. I'll post about it soon.

This is what I wore during the party :D

I got bullies from my block! Went through that habit of locking myself up in the cubicle in any restroom I can find instead of attending classes T.T I skipped classes for almost a week for that :'< Anyway, everything got resolved in the end and we're finally friends now.

SEVEN: Projects in Information & Communication Technology
Had been staying up til 4 in the morning making projects in ICT =_= I guess I should make you see at least two of them.

Just went through a hectic week of studying.

AAAAAAAAND here I am. Hahahaha :D Hi batssss :3
