Filipino Goth Bands! X'D

You could only see a Goth in the Philippines if you're actually FINDING or sniffing for one, since the capital city here is somehow hogging most of them darkly-inclined individuals. While the Tagalog (those from Manila) Goths are having fun dancing, drinking, and jumping to the music during the Eternal Death Wake or Elysian Dark Fest, the Goths from Davao, Cebu, or Negros -- if there are even any -- are busy accepting the fact that they could be alone in their island.

MEANWHILE IN CEBU O.O

I've already posted WHY, but despite those reasons, it still isn't that frustrating to actually stop me from looking for another batty soul (feeling hopeful now)! However, it sure is hard to deny that this still remains as a lonely and miserable fact for me, and everyday, fantasizing about Goth friends feed my longing. Sighs.

OH WELL, though this is one big bitter truth (and one big bitter reason for this blog's name) I sometimes can't handle, it still is soothing to know that this country also has its very own little Gothic music scene! ♥

I started to become even more proud about being a Filipino when I learned that not all of my musician countrymen are composing those shallow, cliche, mainstream noise that everyone else nowadays call "music" (ooooooh, I love the way I called it shallow! :D).

So here are the few but great Pinoy Goth bands out there that I'm so happy about!

In case you're wondering... these bands make POST-PUNK, GOTHIC ROCK, DARK AMBIENT, DARK WAVE, or CELTIC music

There are a lot more of these bands in the country, but they're mostly not that active and are hard to find online. So until God permits me to sail away to Luzon and attend the Eternal Death Wake, I'll hear more of these locally beautiful bands and share their music to you guys. But DO try listening to these bands, 'cause they're good, I say. ^w^

Cheerio! xx

Salamat. V-----V
