Wear Black to Summer! #3

Here's the summer highlight for the year. We went to the beach, which my aunt said is called "Sherlock Beach" for reasons unknown -- a name which had me and my sister immediately look at each other, being the Sherlock Holmes fans that we are.

I hate swimming under the cruel sun for fear I might perish from burning. Though I admit I got a bit tempted to take a dip in the shore and join them in their merry laughter but I was hindered by another fear: the fear of turning the sea RED if I stay in the water for too long! (If you know what I mean. *wink, wink*)

I had my sister take this photo because the cloud looks somewhat like Frankenweenie! #FrankenweenieCloud ♥
Don't you guys just think so?? [source]
Lemme take a selfie! Ew.
Don't you just love water-muh-lone?

Forgive my nose.

I got a bit drowsy from the warm breeze and the shade of the trees so I went to my uncle's house which is just around two blocks away with my sister and my brother and his girlfriend. I thought I might get some sleep there but the heat was just crazy. So I just read the remaining afternoon away with this book I bought weeks ago.

I hate the heat.

Wear Black to Summer! #2

Personally, I've never felt the importance of Mother's Day in my life but I know how it means to other people so let me just say..

Today we cooled the summer heat off with some homemade halo halo. It's a Filipino desert with mixtures of shaved ice and evaporated milk, various boiled sweet beans, jello and fruits served in a tall glass or bowl. Usually restaurants now serve it with scoops of ice cream on top. We made our own version though: we blended 5 different kinds of fresh fruits, added evaporated and condensed milk, then topped it off with vanilla ice cream and Milo balls. And oh yeah, Stick-O. I don't know what this is. It's more or less a halo halo alright. By the way don't say "hey-low hey-low". Say "hah-loh hah-loh". I just laughed at how you read it in your head. Hahahahaha xD

Later that afternoon, we gave Grandma a special visit even though we knew she doesn't know what day it was anymore haha this is what I wore.

As for my sister, look at this adorable ensemble! :D

Happy Mama's Day!

Wear Black to Summer! #1

Sister turns a year older on the 4th of May. This year, we lazed the whole day off at Crown Regency Guadalupe.

PS: Sorry for some of the photos. The quality isn't that.. well..

I'm not into summer. You guessed that right. It's my least favorite time of the year, though except for the fact that it's when we don't have school to worry about. I'm not into sun and sand, waves and shades, feet and heat. So I didn't join them for a swim, I just took pictures. Nevertheless, take a look at the vintage-inspired interior of the hotel's lounge! And all the old-fashioned objects! Forget the summer feel, I'm lovin' the vintage ambience! ♥

I SOOOO LOVE THIS TELEPHONE! *A*

I LOOOOOVE PASTA *A*
AWKWARD POSE

HAHAHAHA le brother

My sister's going great with her outfits! Sisters are sisters :D

Hahahahahahaha

These just don't mix.
I hate the heat.

Writer's block: a recurring disease

I've been a very bad blogger.
I would suddenly stop writing for about 3 weeks or 3 months and turn this blog into some personal journal after the absence. Many of my friends have been asking me if I've posted anything new recently, and some readers have been looking forward to promised posts. God, I sincerely apologize.

Writing seems to be quite a different art -- to me it requires massive amounts of inspiration and motivation to keep you going; I need to be in the right frame of mind, the right mood, and the freedom from any distractions and pressure whatsoever, the burning enthusiasm, the vivid and breathing creativity. Unfortunately during the past months, I haven't read anything that boosts my creativity levels, and my time's all spent on a boyfriend who demands my constant communication. Sighs.

Novels and poems are oftentimes the most helpful factors that inspire me to write. My imagination tends to get brighter when I read a darker variety of literature -- the contrast itself is entertaining and motivating that it fills my head, pulsates increasingly every passing minute, and might burst out any moment if not released from a pen. Miserably, I have not seen any book worth buying and drawing inspiration from, nor have I spare bills to spend these months because of my annoyingly growing appetite, and a relationship that needs to be frequently fed.

Nevertheless here I am once again, risen from my mind's debris brought about by the unexpected magnitude 7 earthquake and the strongest typhoon in history (living in the Visayas region suddenly became exciting). Although my Halloween hangover is still a bit disturbing, the praises, mails, and comments this blog has earned have been quite alarming, just enough to substitute the amount of inspiration I'd get from a dark novel. ♥

Oh God. Earthquakes and typhoons. Please, It's Not Fun in the Philippines anymore. Stop coming.

I might post late posts about Halloween and past events (I'll edit the dates) along with the same old posts I used to write in this blog. :3

Le me starring in a black metal music video! O_O

All pictures are from Musika Sugbu

October 13, 2013
What I did on No Bra day? Woke up at 6, got ready, and headed to Lahug to meet up with a local black metal band and star in their MV. And no, I did not take off my bra.

I don't listen to black metal because I find it scary and Satanic. I also find corpse paint (a style of black-and-white makeup, used mainly by black metal bands during live concerts and photo shoots) just.. plain horrifying. But when I met the guys from EREHES, my assumptions were completely changed. Corpse paint isn't so scary after all, and these metalheads aren't the evil maniacs I thought they were. Black metalheads aren't necessarily Satanists.

The guys behind me are totally hilarious. And yes, I'm so tan here </3
I mean, guys in corpse paint, clad in black, with all the big metal spikes and gears.. riding on small bikes and braiding grasses? They're one of the coolest people I've ever hung out with on the first meeting! They were extra nice, respectful, and super hilarious! I was scared shitless on my way to our meeting place because I thought I was gonna get sacrificed or something. Hahahahahahahahaha but I wasn't. Instead, I was treated like a princess the whole day. I'll never forget these guys :3

le band members doin their makeup all by themselves :D
IDK but I totally find it cute and funny xD
le me and le director :3

Shootinggggg! Baaaaam!
Diz picture! I got included in CNU's Head Turner for this! Gaaaaaah heeeeeeelp :/ I'm sooo tan T.T
Kuya Ramee edited thissss ♥
FUN! FUN! FUN!
GRANNY: THE LEGENDARY PHOTO BOMBER! XDDD
These guys are the coolest! \m/

One thing I've learned, no, not learned but re-learned, is that we should never, at all costs, judge anyone. Daaaayum I should never have had assumptions beforehand. Oh well :/

The MV will be released maybe next month, so keep posted! xx ♥
